Jason Clark

Jason founded Power Brief in 2024 to tackle a problem that had bothered him for many years — clean energy companies need clear, reliable information about how the government is impacting their business, but too often those details are locked in wonky (and long) legal memos that no business leader has the time to consume.
Prior to Power Brief, Jason served as the Chief Strategy Officer of the clean energy industry’s largest trade group — the American Clean Power Association (ACP). Jason was a founding member of ACP, after being hired by CEOs in the sector to design a unified and better resourced advocacy group to promote clean energy interests. He served in this role throughout the Inflation Reduction Act, several tariff fights, and a push for an overhaul to the permitting system.
Previously, Jason was a Partner at Ballast Research (now Penta Group) where he oversaw the firm’s energy and telecom clients. Ballast was acquired in 2020.
Amanda Clark
Chief Operating Officer
Amanda has spent the last decade turning operational chaos into scalable systems across some of the most complex organizations in the country. She’s partnered with executives at Fortune 500 companies, federal agencies, and high-growth retailers to turn strategic vision into operational reality, redesigning processes, modernizing systems, and leading teams through lasting change.
As COO at Power Brief, she’s responsible for building the systems, culture, and operational foundation the company needs to grow sustainably.
Jaime Simmons
Director of Policy
Jaime Simmons is Director of Policy at Power Brief, where she guides policy priorities and helps clients navigate the evolving clean energy landscape. Before joining Power Brief, she spent three years with Vestas supporting policy and regulatory analysis and implementation, corporate strategy, and offtake evaluation. Earlier, she contributed to new market entry for Mainstream Renewable Power’s U.S. offshore wind business and began her career in clean energy education and stakeholder engagement with the Southeastern Wind Coalition. With a decade of experience spanning advocacy, project development, and manufacturing, she is known for her practical approach to identifying trends, solving complex challenges, and translating federal clean energy policy into clear, actionable insights for audiences ranging from executives to frontline teams and community stakeholders. Jaime holds a BA in Political Science from The Ohio State University, and an MBA from Green Mountain College. She lives in Durham, North Carolina with her husband and two daughters.
Frank Muraca
Sr. Analyst, Policy Research & Data
Frank Muraca is a policy analyst and data visualization expert focused on the intersection of policy, data, and visual communication. Previously, he led energy analysis at the North Carolina Department of Commerce and data and analytics consulting for local governments, with a focus on decision-making, real estate development, and affordable housing. He also teaches data communication at UNC-Chapel Hill and publishes the NC Data Center Newsletter, which tracks data center development and policy across North Carolina. Frank holds a master’s degree in city and regional planning from UNC-Chapel Hill and a bachelor’s degree in economics from George Mason University. He lives in Raleigh, North Carolina, with his fiancée and two dogs.
Kiran Garewal
Sr. Analyst, Policy Research & Data
Kiran Garewal is a Senior Analyst at Power Brief, where he conducts policy research and data analysis to support decisionmakers across the clean energy industry. Before joining Power Brief, Kiran worked on the government affairs team at Ara Partners, a private markets investor, supporting policy and government relations across clean fuels, energy, minerals, and manufacturing. Kiran previously interned at Boundary Stone Partners covering solar policy and in the Georgia House of Representatives. Kiran holds a Bachelor of Science in Public Policy from the Georgia Institute of Technology and lives in Washington, D.C.
